I have a lot of quotes in foreign languages and I think that would be nice to have a optional field for “translation” the quote from a foreign language.

Would you type in the translation or rely on some translation service? I'm asking this is because I want to understand the workflow better. And this also sounds like something suitable for automation.

I have had very good experiences with deepl.com, as it offers special options for editing the translations down to the smallest detail via its website. I would generally be cautious about integrating a “one size fits all” solution that makes subsequent editing more difficult. After all, we are talking about valuable quotations here.

Conan Chou (Sorry for the late reply) I am a translator myself! I want to be able to type my own translations, sure! Of course someone could use some software for this, but my original idea is to type my own translations.

A very good idea! It would be very nice if these fields could be shown and hidden via shortcut so that the interface remains clear overall (as it is already possible with notes).
